So many alts...It's Warlock time!

Like many players of world of warcraft I have many many alts. My tank is a Paladin, Melee DPS is a Rogue, my Healer is a Druid, and my ranged DPS is going to be my Warlock. Even with the increase of XP and decrease of mob health leveling is just a grind to 80 and soon 85. This week I will be dusting off the old warlock, of all classes, to be my ranged DPS bringer of pain. Affliction was my spec of choice back when I raided Naxx 25 this time I want to go demonology for a few reasons...

1. Way more survivability
2. Access to stuns
3. Raid buffs
4. High damage and a lot of fun

The biggest complaint I had with affliction is lack of survivability. With demonology you get a pet to share damage with and oh yeah he can stun too. Demonology has to do with spell procs so your going to need a a mod like eventviwer to monitor procs.

Talent points and glyphs
Build with glyphs: 0/56/15 is the demonology warlock build right now. If you like you can switch points from improved demonic tactics to demonic empowerment for a little more pow.

Stats
Gem spell power and more spell power and then some more spell power.

Spell priority
Spells no longer have rotations but priorities.
1. Life tap and Metamorposis
2. Corruption
3. Immolate
4. Shadow bolt with incinerate when molten core procs
4a. Soul fire with target below 35% and esp when molten core procs

Demonology is no longer the pvp/utility only tree, but is now a raid viable option to warlocks. So have fun stormin the castle.

Rogues 3.3 are all about the attack power

Back in the days of 3.2, like a week ago, Assassination Rogues focused on stacking as much agility as possible now you want to replace all your agility gems with AP gems. My how things have changed in a single patch. I will show you the old build and old rotation.

3.2 PVE Assassination build 51/13/7

-Stats to focus on were-
Agility
Crit

-Priority was-

HfB
Slice and Dice
+4cp Rupture
+4cp Envenom

3.3 PVE Assassination build 51/18/2

-Stats to focus on-
Attack Power
Haste
Crit

-Priority is-

HfB
Slice and dice
+4cp Envenom
+1-5 Rupture to keep HfB up

I know what your thinking. "But agility is what Rogues are all about". Yes Rogues will always be about agility. The change to how weapon poisons work is the cause for this huge change to Rogues. Once you have a 5 stack of deadly poison your off hand will now proc instant poison in your main hand.

IP:
Each strike has a chance of poisoning the enemy which instantly inflicts [300 + 0.10 * AP]
DP:
Each strike has a 30% chance of poisoning the enemy for [296 + 0.12 * AP]

Go respec and buy all the AP you can.

Leveling a Paladin 72 - 80

Ding 80!...for the 5th time...
It has taken me 6 days 1 hour 33 mins and 15 seconds completing a little over 1000 quests to go from 1 - 80 on my Paladin. I used heirloom items from level 1, made sure I always logged out in an inn, and did not work on any professions.

What I have learned about my classes spec while leveling...
Nothing I could not have picked up from a practice dummy, a few minutes reading over elitist jerks forums, and designing a few handy macros. I basically pressed 3 buttons from 1 - 50 then added a fourth at level 50 - 80. Because I play on a pvp server I did have to use my bubble, /wave, harth button a few times when the occasional level 80 tried to gank me.

Do we really need 6 days of play time to learn a class?
No. In fact Blizzard should have an option to start at level 80 if you already have an 80. Once you raided with other classes you have a very good idea what is needed to play that class well. Questing does nothing but teach us how to be better questers NOT better players. I could have mastered those 4 buttons in 15 minutes or less.

Now what?
I am going to work on engineering and maybe armorsmithing. My two specs are going to be holy/ret for pve and pvp. So far pvp healing on a Paladin is fun fun fun. Can't stop the healing powerhouse from getting 10k healing crits. Muahhaa

Alas, poor Warlock! I knew him well.

Pre-BC I played a Priest because I wanted to be the best healer I could. I healed every instance/raid I could and was very geared out. It was not uncommon to get 10 whispers soon as I logged on "Hay wanta heal UBERS? We have Warlock and can summon". Ahh those were the days healers, esp Priests, were in high high demand. Then when BC came out I was sick of healing and wanted to try DPS out. Shadow priests were still being called Warlock "wanta bes" and could not compete with the DPS other classes were doing. So after 1 year of playing nothing but my Priest I decided to re-roll a Warlock and not be a wanta be anymore. After about 5 weeks I had a level 70 Warlock and full shadow damage crafted gear. I was'nt just topping the DPS charts I was ROCKING them. Times were good again. Our guild had Kara on farm and were progressing up to BT pretty fast. Then I took a break from wow to work on my business. When Wrath came out I decided to roll a DK WITH EVERYONE ELSE. My Warlock was sitting by waiting for a good time to re-dot the world of warcraft. When I decided to play my warlock again here is what I noticed what was wrong with the class...

Dots take waaay to long to do damage

Fear is a joke with diminishing returns
Reverse blink is not an escape
Demonology tree is not a pvp tree
Every class needs on cloth gear
Free HK

In short, I will not play my Warlock again until Blizzard fixes 90% of these issues. I have the feeling other Warlocks feel the same way. Buff my Warlock.

Good gear but crappy DPS

Are you decked out in purples but DPS like your rocking the blues? Well Everything Over Powered is here to help. First thing we need to look at is your talents to spec according to what is needed. After you have picked a build now we need to build on that solid foundation with some nice glyphs that really drive home the damage. Next you need to reach your hit cap. This is the most important stat to have as a DPSer. Any points over cap is wasted any points under means your not prepared. So run heroics, gem, and enchant your way until you reach hit cap. Your raid with thank you. Once your hit capped you need to stack damage, haste, and crit into every piece of gear you get. Either with gems, enchants, or set bonuses. Finally you want to make a macro, or three, of a DPS rotation. Not every encounter is going to favor your macro so try to think about how to apply your macro to general encounters.

Now your ready to top the DPS meters and not look like a scrub.
